We are searching for a Java software engineer (full stack)
This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw and you will join our Team Alpha in Speedboat Program. The Program is in charge of building web and mobile application to our customers – for about 20 Danish banks – solution in the field of investment advisory, trading of bonds and equities and related investment services.
Team Alpha consists of 12 ambitious Team Members covering all the necessary skills to deliver business value. The team focus is on delivering the new features in Investment area with a very close collaboration with our main client NYKredit.
At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Paweł Olszański.
Primary tasks and responsibilities include:
- Systems development based on Java and Angular development skills including writing code, testing undertaking deployment, some support and documentation.
- Take responsibility for all development work and ownership of quality control
- Being an active team member and taking responsibility for developing and implementing IT solutions as well as new technologies.
- Preparing technical and procedural documentation associated with IT development.
- Stay up to date with new technology and teach other developers how to incorporate new trends
In the position the following skills and competencies are required:
- Experienced with decentral development in BEC e.g. knowing the used tool stack, deployment methodology and basic architecture.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Java 8+ and Spring Boot
- Strong knowledge and experience with REST APIs Desing & implementation
- Experience with que technologies like MQ and Kafka
- Knowledge and experience in Angular
- Experience with microservices
- Knowledge and experience in QA techniques: unit testing, code reviews, clean code etc..
- Clean Code/Clean architecture/SOLID principles
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD)
- The team is based in Denmark and Poland so experience in working in such a cross-border setup is an advantage.
- Experience in working in an Agile setup (SAFe, Scrum)
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Energy, ambition and a willingness to deliver results
- Be proactive, confident, and open minded
It’s nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of investment, securities account and trading business area and systems in general
- Experience with system architecture in particular integration patterns
