Why this role is important to us
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer with an interest in maintenance of financial software and curious in technical areas like automation test, some coding in APL and C#, and white-box testing. You will contribute to both a new cloud-based solution and the support of an existing application with over 20 years of history as well as Axioma Risk integration. Leveraging the foundation of the established system, including industry best practices, your work will involve developing innovative solutions for both the matured back end and its cloud-based counterpart. It is an opportunity to drive advancement in risk management across multiple fronts and leave a lasting impact on the industry.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute on development and maintenance of the investment risk solutions in collaboration with product owners and other teams.
- Investigate and implement best practices for feature testing in a trunk-based CI/CD context.
- Ensuring a high-quality level of correlation between the test suite and business requirements.
- Learn who our users are, and what kind of business value we deliver to them.
What will you work with?
- Collaborate with a product management and the team to configure, and maintain client like portfolio examples, including various securities such as derivatives and bonds and risk models.
- Git (GitHub and Azure DevOps), using CI/CD workflows
- C# .NET (both in Simcorp Dimension and our new Risk cloud native offering) – potentially integration test
- Basic APL (used in SimCorp Dimension)
- Basic Web API (Postman, Swagger)
Who are you?
- You have financial domain knowledge, for the specifics of our system and we will bring you up to speed as needed through our comprehensive onboarding program.
- You understand the importance of automatic testing of business-critical functionality.
- You can solve complex problems in a structured manner.
- You are enthusiastic about understanding business requirements and ensuring that developed code supports these.
- You are good at coordinating with both programmers and non-programmers, to ensure a full understanding of tasks.
- You have a master’s degree or higher in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Finance, Physics, Mathematics, Economics, or similar experience.
What it is like to work here
SimCorp plans work in an agile manner, using 4 planning intervals (PI’s) per year, each consisting of 5 sprints of 2 weeks each, followed by a 3-week Innovation and Planning sprint, which can be used for mastering skills in various areas, or more freely investigating ideas with prototypes.
